DePaul Medical Center stands just a half mile from The Ballentine, with two other major hospitals and associated medical offices within 10 miles of our facility. The mission of The Ballentine is to provide for the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of older persons, and to keep the well-being of our residents as our primary focus. We offer 74 rooms and suites for residents seeking all levels of assisted living. Designed to welcome residents of all levels of independence, The Ballentine boasts a comfortable and appealing atmosphere that speaks of home. An attractive lobby is equipped with a cozy fireplace, and several solariums are outfitted with comfortable couches. Our small library offers popular books and novels, and the Activity Room hosts a wide variety of events, from worship services to reading groups. The Ballentine’s well-trained and experienced caregivers can offer help with the details of daily living, including dressing, bathing, meals and exercise. We assist our residents with respect and sensitivity, supporting their maximum independence while providing needed assistance. Housekeeping, linen services, meal preparation, transportation arrangements and many other needs are taken care of by our attentive and courteous staff.
