Wheatland Hills Retirement Communities in Christiansburg and Radford are pleased to announce the opening of a memory care unit, Eden Court. Eden Court provides specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care for seniors in a safe, secure environment.
Eden Court staffs are specially trained to provide more individualized care. “My husband and I discovered all his caregivers do better for him than we can do,” says Sandra Daniels about her father-in-law, who is a resident at Wheatland Hills-Radford. “We have been so impressed because his caregivers really take the time to learn about his life and treat him like an individual and accommodate for his likes and dislikes.”

“With the addition of Eden Court in Christiansburg and Radford, Wheatland Hills is poised to help care for the growing segment of the senior population requiring these services,” said Richard Brewer, President of Commonwealth Assisted Living, which operates the Wheatland Hills communities.
Eden Court offers activities that are designed to provide cognitive, physical and sensory stimulation, and access to the outdoors is provided in a secure courtyard setting. Each Eden Court features its own dining room and a choice of private, semi-private rooms or suites. Wheatland Hills accepts residents directly into Eden Court as well as transferring existing residents whose needs have changed
Wheatland Hills provides a full range of living options for seniors, including independent living, assisted living, respite care and specialized Alzheimer’s Memory Care. Services such as assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming are available. Pets are welcome.
Commonwealth Assisted Living, LLC, is based in Charlottesville, Virginia and currently manages twelve assisted living facilities, eight of which offer specialized Alzheimer’s/ dementia units, and a personal care/companion services agency in the southeastern part of the state.
