Senior Living Options in Norfolk
Thank you for considering a The Ballentine for the care of your loved one. We are honored to welcome them into our home, and help them make it their own. At Commonwealth Assisted Living we encourage independence while providing support, and peace-of-mind to residents and their family in an environment that feels like home.
Everyone appreciates an independent lifestyle, but there can come a time when every-day activities become challenging. When making meals, dressing or getting out seeing friends becomes difficult, or if safety or quality of life have become a concern, it’s time to consider assisted living. Commonwealth Assisted Living communities offer the best of both worlds. Residents have the independence they desire with the knowledge that personal care and support services are available if they need them.
As one of the largest operators of memory care communities in Virginia, Commonwealth Assisted Living's caregivers are carefully trained to offer those experiencing memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related illnesses the attention they need, as well as the safety and security they require. Commonwealth’s Sweet Memories program was awarded the Best Practice Award by the Virginia Assisted Living Association (VALA) for going above and beyond the standards of care. Our memory care communities are intentionally designed to be small, include private and semi-private rooms, family-style dining areas and secure courtyards with walking paths.
Stay At Home Personal Care allows seniors to receive assistance with the activities of daily living in their own home or in an assisted living community, nursing home or other type of senior care facility.
