Wheatland Hillsville hosted a Health Fair to benefit the Alzheimer's Assosication and raised $1,500.00.  Over 20 senior service vendors participated and we had a great turnout from the Hillsville community.

We had a great turnout for our Senior Services event at Leigh Hall.  The following panel members spoke about senior services: Oast & Hook, Sentara, Solutions Home Care, Seniors First, Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia and Elder Care and Sentara.  

We had a fantastic showing for our Senior Services 101 at Georgian Manor.  Over 40 community members attended to hear about local services available for older adults. 

Come out for a morning of pertinant information regarding local senior servcies in the New River Valley.  Event is from 10-12 and you get to take home a complimentary bag lunch.

Topics will include: Senior Services available through the Area Agency on Aging, Home Care Services, Reverse Mortages, Long Term Care Insurance Services, Hospice Services, and How to Sell your Home in Today's Economy.

Commonwealth Assisted Living is starting a Networking Group for people who work in the senior health care industry beginning every 3rd Wednesday of the month at a different Tidewater community.
